Kia Sorento vs. Kia Sportage
You’re stuck at a crossroad. Do you go with the Kia Sorento, a full-sized SUV or the Kia Sportage, a crossover SUV? With excellent seating capabilities and engines that roar, we know how hard of a choice this can be. So, to help you out, we decided to compare the two. It’s the classic battle of the Kia Sorento vs. Kia Sportage.
The new Kia Sorento is a full-sized SUV, with capabilities of seating up to seven passengers and has up to 154.2 cubic feet of interior passenger volume. The Sorento also offers spacious cargo room. With the 5-seater Sorento, you get 38.8 cubic-feet of cargo space behind the second row. And with the 7-seater, you get 11.3 cubic-feet behind the third-row and 38 cubic feet behind the second row.
The Kia Sportage is a bit on the smaller side, as it is more of a crossover SUV. The Sportage has seating capabilities of up to 5 passengers, but still offers plenty of cargo space with 26.1 cubic-feet of space with the rear seats up, and 54.6 cubic-feet with the seats down.
Check under the hood of the Kia Sorento and you’ll find three different engine options, including a 2.4-liter, 185-horsepower I4; a 3.3-liter, 290-horsepower V6; and a 2.0-liter, 240-horsepower I-4 Turbocharged. The Kia Sportage offers two engine options, including a 2.4-liter I-4 with 182-horsepower and a 2.0-liter, 360-horsepower Turbocharged engine.
Both vehicles are heavily equipped with the latest and greatest technology. The UVO eServices infotainment system comes standard on both vehicles, in addition to Bluetooth technology, optional navigation system, USB charges, and more.
