1974 

Once known as Courtesy OldsMobilethe Jim Shorkey Family Auto Group commenced its legacy with a bang, opening its first store on May 1, 1974! 


1984

Expanding its horizons, the auto group ventured into new partnerships, embracing the AMC and Renault brands. Notably, the introduction of the AMC Eagle Wagon during this period.


1990

The automotive landscape experienced a significant shift as AMC and Renault said farewell to the US market, prompting the group to realign its strategies and explore new opportunities.


2000

The curtain closed on the Oldsmobile manufacturer, signifying the end of an era. In late 2000 the Auto group embraced the Daewoo brand and became the largest Daewoo dealer.


2002

Despite its initial success, Daewoo's departure from the US market.


2003

The entry of Suzuki onto the scene injected fresh energy into the group, providing customers with a new array of automotive choices and reinforcing the group's commitment to diversity.


2006

The group welcomed Isuzu, expanding its portfolio and catering to a wider spectrum of automotive preferences.


2007

In a transformative move, the group said farewell to Jeep while opening its doors to Kia, showcasing a forward-thinking approach to meeting evolving consumer demands.


2011

A momentous year as the group embraced a renewed partnership with Jeep, further strengthening its position in the automotive industry.


2012 

The launch of Jim Shorkey Commercial marked a significant expansion while the opening of the first Kia store in Uniontown underscored the group's commitment to growth and customer-centric service.


2013

Venturing into new territories, the group opened Mitsu stores in North Huntingdon and Uniontown, followed by the introduction of Ford in White Oak, PA.

2016

The Auto Group spread its wings in the Pittsburgh region, welcoming CDJR North Hills into the family. This expansion reinforced its commitment to serving the diverse needs of the local community.

2018

Venturing into Ohio, the Auto Group made a significant impact in 2018 by introducing Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and CDJR to Youngstown. Simultaneously, the expansion continued in Wexford with the opening of a Kia store, bringing an array of automotive choices to new communities.

2020

Further expansion unfolded in 2020 as North Hills welcomed the addition of Mitsubishi and Chevrolet, solidifying the Auto Group's presence in the Northern regions.


2021

In 2021, the Auto Group didn't shy away from growth, opening Murrysville Chevrolet as the second Chevy location and adding a second location to Youngstown with a Mitsubishi store.

2022

The year 2022 proved to be nothing short of monumental. The Auto Group spread its influence far beyond its usual boundaries, opening an impressive five new stores in Georgia. While closer to home, a new Toyota store in Pittsburgh further diversified the group's offerings.
