S.T.E.P Program
Jim Shorkey Auto Group S.T.E.P Program
One of the biggest components of our service departments is our S.T.E.P. Program! We want our techs to have top-notch skills, so we offer the exact tools of knowledge they need to succeed. You can enter our S.T.E.P. program with little-to-no skills in the field and learn everything you need to be a top-performing technician in one of our 16 locations.
Our amazing techs are the perfect people to teach you the trade, which is why you will have a mentor from our team throughout your time in the program, to show you the field. Learning in a high-paced dealership environment will teach you exactly what it’s like to work with a team and your customers. After completing the S.T.E.P. program, you will move right into one of our service departments at our 16 locations!
Benefits
By joining our S.T.E.P. Program, you will now have proper technician training and the right tools you’ll need for all your projects! This program is a paid training where you’ll receive a tool allowance, which is up to $5,000 worth of tools to get your career started! 2023 CT4-V Series
As 2023 approaches, we are learning about some amazing vehicles that are coming along with it! Right now, we are talking about Cadillac’s 2023 CT4-V Series! This luxury sport sedan series might be your dream ride!
CT4-V
Are you looking to immerse yourself into the world of Cadillac? Then check out the CT4 V-Series! The CT4-V brings you a great ride! Here are its power stats: The CT4-V Engine is a 2.7 L Dual-Volute Turbocharged I4 with a 10-speed automatic Transmission. Enjoy every ride with 325 Horsepower and 380 LB-FT Torque. The CT4-V is perfect for your everyday commute but would reach a top speed of 156 on the racetrack!
CT4-V Blackwing
Live out your race-car driving dream in the CT4-V Blackwing! In this version, you’ll have a 3.6 L Cadillac-exclusive twin-turbocharged V6 engine, manual 6-speed transmission with the 10-speed automatic available. In the Blackwing version, horsepower, and torque increase. Enjoy 472 horsepower and 445 LB-F.T. torque. This ride will go from zero to sixty in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 189 on the racetrack!
Features
The CT4-V series has amazing features you’ll enjoy! In this ride, you’ll have the newest version of Magnetic Ride Control, which is the world’s fastest reaction suspension technology. This vehicle comes equipped with “Brembo” performance brakes on both the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing. On the Blackwing version, you’re front, and rear brakes will have enhanced cooling to improve overall performance.
Enjoy an amazing interior inspired by vehicles on the racetrack! The performance steering wheel adds to the racing look. The Blackwing version will have suede micro-fiber accents throughout the gear shift, door trim and headliner. Don’t forget about the Torch Red seat belts, creating an amazing race-like ride!
At the driver’s seat, you’ll have Heads Up display along with Driver Information Center Display to improve every excursion. Also, you can match your drive to your surroundings with the Drive Mode Selector. These modes include Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, Track, My Mode and V-Mode!

Kia’s Sea Turtle Rescue
We love our brands and learning all about what they do! Have you heard about Kia’s most recent project? The company teamed up with Sea Turtle Inc. to help baby sea turtles find their way home.
Kia created the first sea turtle rescue vehicle! The company took the Kia Sportage X-Pro to a whole new level! Kia added night vision cameras and red LED spotlights. The red spotlights allow the baby sea turtles to be released at night! The vehicle was also equipped with sand-ready tires, a roof rack and a first-aid kit. Another customization was an algae bar. This was added to provide food for the rehabilitated sea turtles while on their way back home. The Sportage was also designed to safely transport the sea turtle egg nests to their protected area.
This amazing project was a piece of Kia’s Accelerate the Good Program! The Accelerate the Good Program has worked to assist front-line workers and those affected by COVID-19, natural disasters, and more. We will keep updated on new project information and any new additions to this program!

Are you headed on a summer road trip this year? Our fully staffed Parts and Service team are ready to help get your ride road-ready! Ask about the following service checks to ensure a fun and safe road trip:
Oil Change
Before you head out for your summer trip destination, be sure to get your oil changed. Oil changes are recommended for every 3,000 – 7,500 miles. Since you may be traveling long distances for a getaway, you’ll definitely want to have this checked and taken care of before leaving!
Tire Pressure
You’ll of course want your tires to be in perfect condition before you hit the road, so get your tire pressure checked during your next service appointment. This is a quick check that will give peace of mind and an easy ride!
Cooling System
During these hot summer months, the cooling system in your vehicle will be so important to your vehicle’s overall health. The cooling system itself includes the radiator, fans, thermostat valve and a coolant pump. A quick service check for this system could be essential to keep your summertime trip cool!
Air Conditioning
Another important system to check is your air conditioning. A road trip could feel ten times longer without your AC this time of year! While most don’t normally think about checking on this feature, you may want to consider it this time.
