Something new and exciting is coming to the Chevrolet lineup in 2024! We’re talking about the first electric Silverado! So far, we have learned about the RST and WT option in this new electric vehicle. The Silverado EV will become available beginning in the Fall of 2023. Let’s take a look at this new vehicle and some of its features.

The Silverado EV will have an all-new battery platform from General Motors, called the Ultium! This battery will provide a new type of power, force, flexibility and more to the Silverado line. Along with this new battery option, comes Ultifi! This is a software platform that helps keep your vehicle performing properly with updates, apps and features personalized for you.

This electric vehicle has the option of 120-Volt Charging, which is level 1 home charging and best for short daily drives. The level 2 home charging uses a 250-volt outlet and is the fastest home charging option for the Silverado EV. Another charging option is DC Public Fast Charging, which is a solution for you during travel, where you can get a 100-mile range in only 10 minutes!

The Silverado EV also comes with a variety of safety features. In this vehicle, you’ll have automatic emergency braking along with front pedestrian braking. Another feature helpful for the driver is the lane keep assist with lane departure warning, as well as forward collision alert. This Silverado also comes along with Intellibeam High Beam Assist, which automatically turns your high beams on and off according to your surroundings. All of these mentioned features, and more, will greatly add to the overall safety of this vehicle and be very helpful for the driver during any trip.

As mentioned above, there will be two configurations of the Silverado EV that will be available at launch, the RST First Edition and the fleet-oriented WT model. The RST First Edition will include four-wheel steering, Multi-Flex Midgate, a Multi-Flex Tailgate option, a 17-inch diagonal LCD freeform infotainment screen, 11-inch diagonal re-configurable driver display, driver head-up display, trailering-capable Super Cruise and more! The WT version will be capable of 8,000 pounds of towing and 1,200 pounds of payload. These versions will provide the perfect features for the driver to have a safe and comfortable ride!
