We love our brands and learning all about what they do! Have you heard about Kia’s most recent project? The company teamed up with Sea Turtle Inc. to help baby sea turtles find their way home. Kia created the first sea turtle rescue vehicle! The company took the Kia Sportage X-Pro to a whole new level! Kia added night vision cameras and red LED spotlights. The red spotlights allow the baby sea turtles to be released at night! The vehicle was also equipped with sand-ready tires, a roof rack and a first-aid kit. Another customization was an algae bar. This was added to provide food for the rehabilitated sea turtles while on their way back home. The Sportage was also designed to safely transport the sea turtle egg nests to their protected area. This amazing project was a piece of Kia’s Accelerate the Good Program! The Accelerate the Good Program has worked to assist front-line workers and those affected by COVID-19, natural disasters, and more. Warmer weather and more sunshine can only mean one thing! Spring is on its way! Now is the time to get your vehicle ready for the upcoming season. Here are some service checks we recommend making sure your vehicle is in top condition. Cabin Air Filter This filter for your vehicle is very important and often ignored, but certainly shouldn’t be as we transition from Winter to Spring. This filter is inside the dash of the vehicle and filters the air that comes from outside to the inside of the vehicle. The cabin air filter should be checked during every oil change, as a standard and should be replaced every 10,000 – 15,000 miles. So, as the seasons change, be sure to have your cabin air filter checked to keep the air you breathe inside your vehicle safe. Air Filter Another important check for you to consider as we approach Spring is for your air filter. The air filter allows your car to breathe. The filter prevents any insects, dust, particles, and other debris from getting to the car’s engine. Also, this also ensures that there is a good mix of air and fuel to keep up vehicle performance. Therefore, this is important to keep clean so that your vehicle can continue running in top condition. A/C System Since we have been so used to the cold weather, our A/C has likely not been used in months. Be sure to have your A/C system checked when the warm weather arrives! You’re A/C may need a recharge to help keep you cool this Spring. Fuel System Last but not least, is a fuel system service. This is done to clean out the injectors and give you better fuel mileage. This type of service check usually includes the fuel pump, fuel filter or fuel injectors, although it could vary.
